This is the first curved automatic darkening welding helmet, designed specifically for TIG welding this helmet allows full range of vision through the curved lens and expands your peripheral vision range. 3M have designed this product with ergonomics in mind, it follows the curved shape of your head and sets a new standard for ADF filters. This design allows no compromise between slim helmet and a wide view. The filter is close to your eyes which results in minimal reduction in view. In light mode the Speedglas Natural Colour Technology allows full clarity and better control over your arc.
The reliability of the 3M Speedglas welding mask is guaranteed by using advanced electronics working in tandem with the 4 arc sensors. The filter switches even when using when TIG settings are set to low. This certifies the welding mask at ISO 16321 TIG+ standards.
Slim design, thanks to curved glass filter, with new exhaled air venting design to reduce any heat and humidity within the helmet. Wider view usually requires a wider helmet- curved helmet and filter reduces the need for a wider helmet.
Incredibly thin but robust, custom designed curved glass technology ensures impact resistance, this are tested and perform to EN 166:F and EN 175:F standards. The curved filters are custom design and manufactured in a purpose built manufacturing centre. The impact resistance for high speed particles is up to 45m/s.
This welding mask allows for brilliant light state with excellent clarity, the interface located on the interior of the helmet is intuitive to use and located on both sides of the filter. They are sensitive and easy to reach when wearing gloves. 3M has researched user experience and most often used controls are located in the best position for use
The 3M Connected Equipment app is available, this is an extra feature which allows the user to securely connect to a compatible device where you can program up to 10 memory modes, record welding helmet maintenance, find your statistics for date of activation, hours used in each state and number of cycles. This app also allows for access to user manuals and parts list for consumables.
There is also a full Youtube database compiled by 3M for more information and how to guides for each product available.
