Starparts Short Backcap For WP17,18 & 26 TIG Torches

The 57Y04 Short Backcap is a replacement TIG torch component designed for use with WP17, WP18 and WP26 TIG torches. Its compact design significantly reduces the overall length at the rear of the torch, making it particularly useful when TIG welding in confined or restricted spaces.

The backcap works with the torch collet assembly to help secure the tungsten electrode firmly in position while also helping seal the rear of the torch head.

Compared with a standard long backcap, the short design provides improved torch access when working around pipework, inside fabricated assemblies or in other areas where space behind the TIG torch is limited.

Because of its compact dimensions, a shortened tungsten electrode will normally be required when using a short backcap.

An inexpensive and useful spare for any TIG welding setup, the 57Y04 is ideal for professional welders, fabricators, maintenance engineers and general workshop use.
