The Norton Vortex Rapid Blend Disc 4.5" (115mm) Grade 5AM is a premium surface conditioning disc designed for fast material blending, cleaning, deburring and finishing on a wide range of metals. Engineered with Norton’s advanced Vortex abrasive technology, this high-performance disc delivers a consistent finish, long service life and exceptional productivity in demanding fabrication and engineering environments.
The 5AM (Very Fine) grade is ideal for light blending, surface preparation and producing a smooth, uniform finish without significantly removing base material. Suitable for use on stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, it is perfect for removing light oxidation, surface imperfections, weld discolouration and minor scratches while preparing surfaces for painting, coating or polishing.
Designed for use with standard 115mm (4.5") angle grinders, the Norton Vortex Rapid Blend Disc provides excellent conformability, allowing it to follow contours and complex shapes while maintaining an even finish. Its non-woven abrasive construction resists loading, runs cooler than conventional abrasives and delivers consistent performance throughout the life of the disc.
