Particulalry good for Aluminium, these cleaning pads are easy to install and help to ensure smooth wire feeding of all MIG wire types. The Lube-Matic pads increase contact tip and liner life by as much as 300%. Ideal when using a long MIG torch to ensure the wire travels through the long liner, with decreased friction. The benefits don’t stop there…  Smoother wire feeding also decreases spatter for cleaner welds and less post weld clean up. Cleanliness when welding Aluminium is a key factor to produce good results.  Very often, when TIG welding, it is good practice to clean filler wire before using it.  The lube-matic kleener pads do exactly this for MIG welding. The dense foam pad works by allowing the MIG wire to pass through it, removing surface contaminants.  This particularly helps with poor cast, helix and rust. To install, simply place the pad around the MIG wire where it goes into the inlet guide.  A metal collar then squeezes onto the foam to ensure that the pad makes good contact with the wire.   PLEASE NOTE:   These pads can be used in conjunction with the black lube-matic pads as shown below.  The red pad is a denser material and goes before the black pad to clean it, the black pad can then provide further cleaning and lubrication.  The black pad should NOT be used with Aluminium wires
