Blue Demon 2% Cerium Welding Tungsten (EWCe-2) These electrodes contain about 2% cerium oxide, referred to as ceria. The EWCe-2 electrodes were first introduced into the US market in 1987. Several other grades of this type of electrode are commercially practical, including electrodes containing 1% ceria, but only one grade, EWCe-2, has been incorporated in this specification as having commercial significance. The advantages of tungsten electrodes containing ceria, compared to pure tungsten, include increased ease of starting, improved arc stability, and reduced rate of vaporization or burn-off. Unlike thoria, ceria is not a radioactive material. These advantages increase with increased ceria content. These electrodes operate successfully with AC or DC polarity.

Blue Demon True Flex Bendable Tungsten 10 Pack Blue Demon True Flex, the welding industry’s ONLY bendable tungsten at room temperature, is a great choice for applications with difficult torch angles and tight spaces.  It works well on both AC and DC current, starts easily, re-starts easily, and has excellent arc stability.  This electrode also works on both transformer and inverter power sources.  Can be identified by a light blue tip color.  To maintain proper gas coverage you may have to increase your CFH.  A bend of greater than 20 degrees is possible but not recommended. AWS Class EWG Contains 1.80-2.20% proprietary blend of one or more of the following oxides:  CeO2, La2O3, ThO2, ZrO2, & Y2O3 AWS Specification A5.12 Color Code Light Blue
