Product Overview The Weld Star ER5556 AlMg5Mn Aluminium TIG Filler Wire 2.5KG is a high-strength aluminium filler metal designed for TIG welding of aluminium-magnesium alloys. Manufactured to deliver reliable weld quality and consistent mechanical performance, ER5556 filler wire is widely used in fabrication where higher weld strength and good corrosion resistance are required. This filler wire contains approximately 5% magnesium with manganese additions, providing strong weld deposits with excellent toughness and resistance to corrosion, particularly in marine and outdoor environments. Features and Applications High purity aluminium wire for welding pure aluminium. Highly resistant to weathering and chemical attack. Good resistance to atmospheric conditions in a wide range of corrosive media, particular alkaline environments. ER 1070 wire offers excellent weldability when properly cleaned prior to welding. Heavy parts and thicker plates should be pre-heated to (150°C) prior to welding. Typically used on applications for chemistry, electronics, construction and food industries etc.

Features and Applications Aluminium wire designed to meet the tensile strength requirements of high magnesium alloys. Excellent weldabillity and good mechanical strength, combined with good corrosion resistance in seawater conditions. Ideal for applications demanding high fracture toughness and impact. Not recommended for elevated temperature applications. Thicker sections should be preheated to (150°C) prior to welding. Typically used on applications in shipyards, automotive, railway, tanks and marine component fabrication etc
